Rachel Lindsay ‘wasn’t anticipating’ Chris Harrison to go away ‘The Bachelor’ franchise

According to People, Lindsay talked Tuesday to her “Further” colleague Billy Bush on their present and stated “I wasn’t anticipating for it to occur, not after the announcement.”

“I believe a number of previous contestants coming ahead and saying they did not need him to be a part of Paradise. The present’s producer and distributor Warner Horizon and ABC Leisure confirmed to CNN Tuesday in a joint assertion that the longtime “Bachelor” franchise host was exiting the reveals, which he had hosted since 2002.

Harrison introduced in February that he was “stepping apart” after being interviewed by Lindsay, who’s a present “Further” host and former star of 2017’s “The Bachelorette.”

Throughout that interview he defended Rachael Kirkconnell, a “Bachelor” contestant who was reportedly photographed at an antebellum plantation-themed fraternity formal in 2018.

These racially insensitive feedback induced a firestorm and Harrison apologized at the time.
On Tuesday he posted a farewell on his verified Instagram account, writing within the caption, “I’ve had a really unimaginable run as host of The Bachelor franchise and now I am excited to begin a brand new chapter.”

“I am so grateful to Bachelor Nation for the entire reminiscences we have made collectively,” he wrote. “Whereas my two-decade journey is wrapping up, the friendships I’ve made will final a lifetime.”
